Hydraulic valves regulate or control the flow of fluid in a hydraulic system, specifically by the placement of a spool inside a cast iron or steel housing within the valve itself. The coil slides to different positions in the housing, and intersecting grooves and channels direct the fluid based on the position of the coil.
